The Yakima region has earned recognition as the hops capitol of the world.

As a hops capital, it should be no surprise that new breweries are constantly opening to join several local mainstays. The Valley isn’t all about beer and wine, however. You can also find cider companies and distilleries around the Yakima Valley.

Yearly Festivals

First Friday get-togethers on the first Friday of each month have been gaining more attendees every year. Visitors will find live music, food and drink specials at various wineries and establishments during the events in downtown Yakima. Keep an eye on the calendar – with so many hops blossoming in the county, there’s big festivals throughout the year.
